Galle Face Hotel, one of Sri Lanka’s most storied addresses, has been ranked No. 6 in the Rest of Asia category of the Condé Nast Traveller Readers’ Choice Awards 2026, achieving an outstanding score of 92.50. 

The Readers’ Choice Awards are among the most respected honours in global travel, shaped by the votes of the travellers who experience these properties first-hand. For Galle Face Hotel, the recognition carries special weight: it comes from both the industry and the guests who walk through its doors. 

“Being recognised by both the industry and our guests is a meaningful affirmation of the experience we strive to deliver every day at our hotel-in-a-garden,” the hotel said in a statement. 

Overlooking the Indian Ocean on Colombo’s Galle Face Green, the hotel has welcomed travellers for 162 years, earning a place as an enduring icon of Sri Lankan hospitality.
