The event brought together Skålleagues, distnguished guests, and industry friends where the highlight of the lunch meetng was the deeply moving felicitation of one of the organisation’s longest-serving members — Deshamanya Sohli Captain

Deshamanya Sohli Captain’s. 50-year journey with Skål International Colombo stands as a testament to his deep and abiding belief in the power of fellowship, networking, and the global tourism community.

He was felicitated by Skal International Colombo President Bernard Wijetunge, the Executive Committee and members.

The distinguished Guest Speaker was His Excellency Matthew Duckworth, Australian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, whose spoke on the long standing partnership between Australia and Sri Lanka while the event was also graced by Skål International Director for Region 11, Sk. Dushy Jayaweera

World Skål Day is celebrated annually by Skål clubs around the globe, bringing together members from the travel, tourism, and hospitality industries to reaffirm the bonds of fellowship that are at the heart of the Skål spirit.
