Himaj Jayasinghe has been appointed Vice President Operations, bringing with him over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry across Sri Lanka and the Maldives. His extensive background in property operations, strategic management, and brand development makes him a valuable addition to Uga’s continued journey of excellence in Sri Lankan luxury hospitality.

Throughout his distinguished career, Himaj has managed a diverse portfolio of properties ranging from luxury boutique hotels to large-scale resort operations, consistently delivering operational excellence and guest satisfaction.

Prior to joining Uga Resorts, he served as Chief Operating Officer and earlier as Director – Operations at Hayleys Leisure PLC, where he oversaw a portfolio of nine distinctive properties. His international experience includes holding senior leadership positions in the Maldives as Group Director of Operations at Pulse Hotels & Resorts, where he managed three luxury resorts and an ultra-luxury boutique property.

Himaj also held key positions as Director of Sales & Marketing at Taj Resorts, Maldives, and Director/General Manager – Marketing & Operations at Saman Villas, Sri Lanka, where his leadership contributed to strengthening brand visibility and operational success.
