Ddot Travels (Pvt) Ltd, a destination management company with a presence in Sri Lanka and Australia, has announced the appointment of Pathumi Silva as Head of Operations. The appointment strengthens the company’s operational capabilities as it expands its international partnerships and grows its reach across new source markets.

Pathumi brings more than 14 years of experience in Sri Lanka’s travel and tourism industry, with particular expertise in destination management, tour operations and international travel markets. Over the course of her career, she has handled both FIT and group travel across Asian and European markets, building strong working relationships with travel agents, tour operators, hotels and other industry partners.

Welcoming her appointment, Amila Abeywickrama, Director – Business Development at Ddot Travels, said: “We are delighted to welcome Pathumi to the Ddot Travels family. Her extensive experience, industry knowledge and commitment to personalised service will make her a valuable asset to our team. With Pathumi overseeing our day-to-day operations, I am confident that this important part of our business is in capable hands.

“As we prepare to launch a new marketing campaign in Australia in 2027 with Australian PR company Gate 7, Pathumi will play a key role in ensuring our operations support our international growth. We look forward to working together to deliver exceptional travel experiences and strengthen the confidence our partners place in Ddot Travels.”

In her new role, she will oversee the company’s operations across its portfolio of tailor-made holidays, private and group tours, luxury travel and MICE programmes in Sri Lanka and the Maldives, ensuring the personalised service and reliable on-ground support that international partners have come to expect from Ddot Travels.

Speaking on her appointment, Pathumi Silva said, “Sri Lanka offers so much more than beautiful landscapes and iconic attractions. It is our culture, our warm hospitality, our diverse cuisine, our traditions and our authentic local experiences that make this country truly special. Travel is not just about visiting places, but about understanding cultures and creating meaningful connections that stay with people long after the journey ends. At Ddot Travels, I look forward to building strong international partnerships and helping travellers discover the true beauty and character of my country.”

Beyond her professional work, Pathumi is a language learner, cultural explorer and content creation enthusiast, interests that shape her people-centred approach to travel and her ability to connect with partners and guests from diverse backgrounds.
