Singapore-based travel technology platform signs strategic partnership with established destination management company to co-develop next-generation tour operations software
Localflow, a Singapore-based travel technology company, has announced a strategic partnership with Green Holiday Centre Pvt Ltd, one of Sri Lanka’s established inbound destination management companies. The partnership will see Green Holiday become one of Localflow’s early enterprise customers as the platform prepares for its wider market launch.
Green Holiday operates across three affiliated entities, managing inbound tourism to Sri Lanka with services spanning accommodation, transport, guided tours, and bespoke itinerary planning. The company handles both charter series and fully independent tours (FIT) for international tour operators and travel agents.
Localflow’s platform is purpose-built for DMC operators – addressing the end-to-end tour lifecycle from route planning and supplier costing through to quotation, booking, and day-of-operations coordination. The platform aims to replace the patchwork of spreadsheets, email threads, and disconnected tools that remain common across the DMC sector in South and Southeast Asia.
“DMCs are the backbone of tourism in this region, but most are still running critical operations on spreadsheets and WhatsApp,” said Nalinda Perera, one of the Co-founders of Localflow. “Working alongside Green Holiday gives us a live, high-volume environment to build and refine the product. This isn’t a vendor-client relationship – it’s a genuine co-development partnership.”, Aloka Gunasekara, a co-founder of Localflow added.
Under the partnership, Green Holiday’s operations team is using the full gamut of Localflow’s features across itinerary management, supplier management, multi-currency costing, and day-of-operations workflows. The collaboration covers the full complexity of DMC operations – from dual-pricing structures across SAARC and non-SAARC nationalities to transport logistics coordination across multi-leg tours.
“Technology adoption in our industry has always been slow, partly because the available tools weren’t built by people who understand how a DMC actually works,” said V. Jeyanthan, a Director of Green Holiday Centre Pvt Ltd.,. “Localflow is different. They understand the details – room configurations, meal plans, seasonal tariffs, vehicle assignments. That domain knowledge is what convinced us to come on board as a design partner.”
The partnership reflects a broader shift in South Asia’s tourism technology landscape, where DMCs are beginning to move away from manual processes toward integrated platforms that can handle the operational complexity unique to destination management – a segment historically underserved by mainstream travel technology providers.
Localflow is currently in its launch phase, with plans to onboard additional DMC partners across Sri Lanka and the wider South Asian market in the coming months.
