Acorn Group Brings Next-Generation Airline Booking Technology to Sri Lanka

Acorn Group appointed General Sales Agent for TPConnects’ Iris platform, giving local travel agencies access to modern airline content through one system

Acorn Group, one of Sri Lanka’s leading leisure, travel and aviation solutions providers, has been appointed General Sales Agent (GSA) in Sri Lanka for Iris, the airline retailing platform developed by Dubai-based TPConnects Technologies. The appointment gives travel agencies across the country access to the latest airline booking and retailing technology through a single platform.

As the General Sales Agent (GSA) for Iris in Sri Lanka, Acorn Ventures will bring TPConnects’ advanced airline retailing platform to travel agencies across the country. Iris provides unified access to content from more than 60 NDC and low-cost carrier sources, as well as all four major GDSs, through a single interface

The platform enables faster shopping, access to private and negotiated fares, richer airline content including ancillaries and bundled offers, intelligent pricing, and streamlined post-booking servicing. With flexible payment controls, rapid deployment, and an intuitive user interface, Iris helps travel agencies improve efficiency, enhance customer experiences, and accelerate business growth.

“As Sri Lanka’s travel industry continues its strong recovery, travel agents need richer airline content, faster shopping experiences and greater control over the booking journey,” said Dushy Jayaweera, Partner and Chairperson of the Aviation Sector at Acorn Group. “Iris allows us to meet those expectations, and our established presence and deep relationships with travel agencies across the country position us to deliver real value through this platform.”

“Sri Lanka’s travel market represents a significant opportunity, with travel sellers seeking modern airline content solutions that don’t add operational complexity,” said Eric Dumas, Chief Executive Officer of TPConnects Technologies. “Acorn Group’s market leadership, extensive distribution network and trusted reputation make them the ideal partner to introduce Iris to Sri Lanka.”

Sri Lanka’s travel industry is experiencing robust growth, with rising outbound demand and a recovering inbound tourism sector. The partnership positions local travel sellers to capitalise on these opportunities with tools that enhance competitiveness, improve margins and deliver a better customer experience.
