Goldi Sands Hotel, Negombo, proudly served as the official venue for the prestigious International Muaythai Asian Martial Arts (ITMA) Games 2026, bringing together athletes, officials, and martial arts enthusiasts from across Asia and beyond in a remarkable celebration of sportsmanship, culture, and international friendship. 

Organized by WMO Muaythai Lanka* and sanctioned by the World Muay Boran Federation (WMBF), World Muaythai Organization (WMO), and **Union Boxing Federation (UBF)*, the tournament showcased world-class martial arts competition while positioning Sri Lanka as an emerging destination for international sporting events. 

The event was graced by distinguished guests, including Mr. Chinawut Sirisompan (SGM Woody), President of the International Muaythai Association, and Hon. Sunil Kumara Gamage, Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, whose presence highlighted the significance of the tournament to both the local and international sporting community.  

Nearly 90 athletes representing 12 countries gathered at Goldi Sands Hotel to compete in three exciting disciplines:

🥊 *Muaythai Semi-Professional* 

🥊 *Muaythai Boran* 

Teams from Russia, Philippines, Australia, Hong Kong, South Korea, and several other nations arrived in Negombo to participate in this prestigious championship, creating an atmosphere of unity, friendship, and healthy competition. 

Throughout the event, Goldi Sands Hotel transformed into a vibrant international sporting hub, welcoming athletes, officials, coaches, and supporters from around the world. The venue provided an ideal setting for high-level competition while offering participants the renowned hospitality and coastal charm of Negombo. 

The tournament delivered thrilling contests, inspiring displays of determination, and unforgettable moments that celebrated the true spirit of martial arts. Beyond the competition, the event strengthened international relationships and promoted cultural exchange among participating nations.
