Sabre Names Chandana De Silva as Country Head for Sri Lanka

Global travel technology provider Sabre has announced the appointment of seasoned aviation professional Chandana De Silva as its new Country Head for Sri Lanka, marking a significant step in strengthening its leadership within the local travel and aviation industry.

De Silva brings more than 30 years of experience spanning airline commercial strategy, sales leadership, and operational management. Sabre operates in Sri Lanka through its Colombo-based subsidiary of Softlogic Holdings PLC, delivering advanced GDS and NDC solutions to support the country’s expanding travel market.

His career includes several senior roles at SriLankan Airlines, followed by a long and successful tenure with Emirates Airlines. From 2008 to 2023, De Silva served as Country Manager for Sri Lanka and the Maldives, in addition to holding the position of Government Liaison Manager for both markets.
